Abstract

Melaleuca leucadendra and Melaleuca cajuputi are grown mainly in the Mekong Delta, including the provinces of Long An, Dong Thap, Kien Giang, Ca Mau provinces. Currently, Melaleuca leucadendra and Melaleuca cajuputi plantations have damaged significantly by the mosquito bugs. The species has scientific name Helopeltis theivora Waterhouse (Hemiptera: Miridae). Adult female mosquitoes were, on average, 5.9 mm (± 0.2) long, yellow - orange to dark - orange, with a white - green abdomen. The male was smaller than female, the average length of 5.6 mm (± 0.1); thinner body with dark brown dorsum and pale blue abdomen. The eggs were on average 0.95 mm (± 0.2); oblong shape. The early hatched larvae are yellow, then gradually turn green. The larva goes through six instar stages; in the 1st instar: average 1.7 mm long (± 0.1); 2nd instar on average 2.4 mm (± 0.3); the average length of the third instar was 3.3 mm (± 0.2); the fourth instar was 4.1 mm (± 0.1), and the fifth instar was 5.4 mm (± 0.2) in length. The result of this research also collected four natural predator species of Mosquito bug including Ladybug (Cheilomenes sexmaculata), striped lynx spiders (Oxyopes javanus), White - backed lynx spiders Oxyopes shweta and weaver - ants Oecophylla smaragdina. Selecting a bio - insect repellent Dipel 6.4WG (Bacillus thuringiensis var. Kurstaki) to prevent mosquito bugs in the lab after five days of effect reaching 100%.

Thu được 4 loài thiên địch ăn thịt Bọ xít muỗi gồm có Bọ rùa (Cheilomenes sexmaculata), Nhện linh miêu vân xiên (Oxyopes javanus), Nhện linh miêu lưng trắng (Oxyopes shweta) và Kiến vồng (Oecophylla smaragdina). Chọn được 1 loại thuốc sinh học Dipel 6.4WG (Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki) phòng trừ Bọ xít muỗi ở trong phòng sau 5 ngày hiệu lực đạt 100%.
