Abstract

It is possible to apply physical measures (using light traps) to prevent tussock moth (Dasychira axutha Collenette), especially to significantly reduce the population in next generation. The appropriate time for trapping is from 7 pm to 6 am next morning, within 14 days from pupa to emerging adult. It is possible to use bio-product to prevent the second-third instar larvae, such as: Delfin 32WG (32BUI/KG) (Bacillus thuringiensis var. Kurstaki), dosage 1.4 kg + 8 kg additive (crushed rice husks or sawdust); or Bitadin WP (Bacillus thuringiensis var. Kurstaki 16.000IU + Granulosis virus 108PIB), dosage 1.2 kg + 6 kg additive, spray for 1 ha. If the density is high, chemical insecticides with active ingredients such as Deltamethrin 25 g/l (Decis repel 2,5SC), Cypermethrin 250 g/l (Sherpa 25EC), Etofenprox 10% (Trebon 10EC) can be used with concentration 0.3%, at a dose of 500 - 600 liters/ha, spray the entire tree canopy with a high-pressure insecticide applicator.

Trưởng thành loài Sâu róm 4 túm lông hại Thông mã vĩ và Thông nhựa có tính xu quang nên có thể áp dụng biện pháp vật lý (sử dụng bẫy đèn) trong phòng chống loài sâu hại này, đặc biệt sẽ làm giảm đáng kể mật độ sâu của lứa tiếp theo. Thời gian đặt bẫy thích hợp là từ 7 giờ tối đến 6 giờ sáng hôm sau trong khoảng 14 ngày kể từ khi thời gian nhộng bắt đầu vũ hóa thông qua điều tra ngoài hiện trường.
