Abstract

The study aimed to sustainable development for eco-tourism in Tra Su melaleuca landscape protection area, An Giang province. To get an overview of the local socio-economic status, the research team interviewed 60 households, representatives of Tra Su melaleuca forest management Board and 08 tourism travel companies. The surveyed information is analyzed using the SWOT tool to develop a master plan to expand and sustainable development of eco-tourism that based on native environmental and cultural resources. The results show that Tra Su melaleuca forest has the potential to develop eco-tourism based on the advantages of melaleuca forest habitat and diverse flora and fauna of the wetland, that contributing to the socio-economic development of the area. The indigenous communities are willing to participate into the tourism service activities through contributing labor resources, creating local traditional tourism products, but it is needed to train them to raise their awareness and understanding about eco-tourism development activities and goals. From the results of the SWOT analysis, based on the factors of environmental, cultural, and social resources of the area, the study has proposed a number of solutions for sustainable development of eco-tourism in Tra Su melaleuca forest.

Nghiên cứu được thực hiện nhằm phát triển du lịch sinh thái bền vững tại khu bảo vệ cảnh quan rừng tràm Trà Sư, tỉnh An Giang. Để có cái nhìn tổng quan về hiện trạng kinh tế - xã hội của địa phương, đã phỏng vấn 60 hộ dân, đại diện Ban quản lý rừng tràm Trà Sư và 8 công ty du lịch lữ hành. Các thông tin ghi nhận được phân tích bằng công cụ SWOT để xây dựng kế hoạch mở rộng và phát triển du lịch sinh thái bền vững dựa vào nguồn tài nguyên môi trường và văn hóa bản địa cho rừng tràm Trà Sư. Kết quả ghi nhận rừng tràm Trà Sư có tiềm năng phát triển du lịch sinh thái dựa trên lợi thế sinh cảnh rừng tràm và hệ động - thực vật đa dạng của vùng đất ngập nước, đóng góp vào sự phát triển kinh tế - xã hội địa phương. Cộng đồng dân cư bản địa sẵn sàng tham gia các hoạt động dịch vụ du lịch thông qua đóng góp nguồn lực lao động, tạo ra sản phẩm du lịch truyền thống địa phương, tuy nhiên cần tăng cường tập huấn nâng cao nhận thức và hiểu biết về các hoạt động, mục tiêu phát triển du lịch sinh thái. Từ kết quả phân tích SWOT, căn cứ vào các yếu tố tài nguyên môi trường, văn hóa, xã hội của khu vực, nghiên cứu đã đề xuất một số giải pháp phát triển du lịch sinh thái bền vững ở rừng tràm Trà Sư.
