In recent years, the declining water levels and saline intrusion in the downstream area of the Ma river have significantly impacted the exploitation and use of water for socio-economic development in Thanh Hoa province. Researching and proposing solutions for constructing water resource regulation works along the Ma river has garnered local attention and is now deemed urgent. This article presents the findings from the research conducted on scientific principles and suggests comprehensive solutions for the area, aiming to build multi-purpose regulatory structures. These efforts will help ensure water security, promote socio-economic development, and protect the environment in the downstream region of the Ma river.
