NGHIÊN CỨU BÌNH TUYỂN CÂY ĐẦU DÒNG GIỐNG TIÊU PHÚ QUỐC

Abstract

Research on the selection of elite trees of Phu Quoc pepper variety was conducted from 2021 to 2024 in the Phu Quoc Special Zone, An Giang province for the restoration of the variety and contribute to the development of genetic resources for the Phu Quoc pepper growing region in the coming years. Using the method of selecting superior individuals within the population of Phu Quoc pepper variety based on the basic standards (TCCS 08:2021) of Institute of Agricultural Science for Southern Vietnam is the important foundation for selection of the elite trees. The elite trees of Phu Quoc pepper variety were assessed by the council of the Kien Giang Department of Agriculture and Rural Development for suitability and requirement with the criteria in the basic sandards (TCCS 02:2024). The results of the selection research showed that 42 elite trees of Phu Quoc pepper variety were recognized according to Decision No. 220/QD-SNNMT issued by the Kien Giang Department of Agriculture and Environment (An Giang province now) on May 5, 2025. These elite trees are coded sequentially, from C. HO TIEU PHU QUOC.91.911.31090.25.22 to C. HO TIEU PHU QUOC.91.911.31090.25.117. These elite trees possess the whole of agronomical characteristic traits of the Phu Quoc pepper variety, with an average individual yield of black pepper over three years of 2.50 - 2.93 kg/plant, the bulk density of peppercorn of 550 - 602 g/L and a fresh/dry ratio of 2.5 - 2.8 at 13% moisture content. The black peppercorn has a fragrant, spicy flavor (rated 2) and good resistance to diseases.

Nghiên cứu bình tuyển cây đầu dòng giống tiêu Phú Quốc được thực hiện từ năm 2021 đến năm 2024 tại đặc khu Phú Quốc, tỉnh An Giang, nhằm phục vụ công tác phục tráng giống, góp phần phát triển nguồn gen tiêu cho vùng trồng tiêu Phú Quốc trong thời gian tới. Áp dụng phương pháp tuyển chọn cá thể ưu tú trong quần thể giống tiêu Phú Quốc dựa trên Tiêu chuẩn cơ sở (TCCS 08:2021) của Viện Khoa học Kỹ thuật Nông nghiệp miền Nam làm cơ sở bình tuyển. Cây đầu dòng giống tiêu Phú Quốc được hội đồng của Sở Nông nghiệp và Phát triển nông thôn tỉnh Kiên Giang (cũ) thẩm định tính phù hợp và yêu cầu trong Tiêu chuẩn cơ sở (TCCS 02:2024). Kết quả nghiên cứu bình tuyển cho thấy, có 42 cây đầu dòng giống tiêu Phú Quốc được công nhận theo Quyết định số 220/QĐ-SNNMT do Sở Nông nghiệp và Môi trường tỉnh Kiên Giang (cũ) ban hành ngày 5 tháng 5 năm 2025. Những cây tiêu đầu dòng này mang mã hiệu theo thứ tự, từ cây C. HO TIEU PHU QUOC.91.911.31090.25.22 đến C. HO TIEU PHU QUOC.91.911.31090.25.117. Cây tiêu đầu dòng có đầy đủ các đặc điểm đặc trưng của giống tiêu Phú Quốc, có năng suất cá thể bình quân qua 3 niên vụ đạt 2,50 - 2,93 kg/trụ, dung trọng đạt 550 - 602 g/L, tỷ lệ tươi/khô đạt 2,5 - 2,8 tại ẩm độ 13%. Hạt tiêu đen có vị thơm cay điểm 2 theo cảm quan và có khả năng chống chịu sâu, bệnh hại khá tốt.
