This study aimed to evaluate the quality of frozen semen from five imported Senepol breeding bulls maintained at the High-Quality Bull Semen production Center of the Hanoi Livestock Breeding Joint Stock Company. Quantitative and qualitative parameters of frozen semen were assessed in accordance with the Vietnamese Standard TCVN 8925:2012. The results indicated that frozen Senepol bull semen in straw form produced in Vietnam fully met the requirements of TCVN 8925:2012. The average number of qualified semen straws per collection was 159.23 doses. Post-thaw sperm motility at 24 h, 1 week, and 1 month was 67.59%, 66.57%, and 66.20%, respectively. The proportion of semen samples achieving the required post-thaw motility threshold (≥ 40%) was 97.40%. Seasonal effects were observed on semen straw production in Senepol bulls, with higher production capacity during the winter-spring season compared with the summer - autumn season.
