Ramie is a high-value industrial crop for textiles, easily cultivated and harvested and can replace lower-value crops like maize and cassava. It’s widely grown in Northern Vietnam and shows strong adaptability in Dak Lak province, especially on basalt soils. Research confirms its high yield and economic potential, prompting experiments to refine large-scale cultivation. Recommended practices include planting densities of 25.000 - 30.000 plants/ha on basalt soils and 30.000 - 40.000 plants/ha on grey soils, with tailored fertilizer and irrigation regimes. These results support expanding ramie cultivation in Dak Lak province.
