About the Journal

The Journal of Agriculture and Environment was established through the merger of the Journal of Natural Resources and Environment and the Journal of Agriculture and Rural Development. As a public scientific and professional unit under the direct management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Journal operates in accordance with the Press Law, the Publishing Law, and other relevant legal regulations. It serves as a communication platform for scientific research, theoretical and professional discourse, and the dissemination of the Party’s guidelines and State policies in the fields of agriculture, rural development, natural resources, and environmental protection. The Journal also acts as a forum for the exchange of scientific and practical experiences in support of state management functions within the Ministry’s sectors.

The Journal has full legal status, its own official seal, and operates financial accounts at both the State Treasury and commercial banks in compliance with Vietnamese law.

The Journal operates under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

Currently, the Journal has three specialized departments:

In recent years, the Journal has effectively communicated the directives, leadership, and activities of the Party Committee and senior leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment. It has served as a key theoretical, political, scientific, and professional communication platform for the sector—providing in-depth analysis of theoretical foundations, scientific research, and practical operations. The Journal also contributes recommendations and best practices for policy-making, thus enhancing the effectiveness of state management in agriculture and environmental protection.

With over two decades of continuous operation within the national press system, the Journal of Agriculture and Environment has consistently adhered to its approved mandate and publishing license. It has established a strong reputation among its readership as a leading theoretical, political, scientific, and professional journal in the fields of agriculture and environment, and is officially listed among Vietnam’s prestigious national scientific journals.
